This website is dedicated to a legend in the radio industry and the music industry, in general. Bill Drake was the ultimate programmer. The individual who had the power to change music and the way we listened to it.
For the passed 45 years, his concepts and programming ideas have been implemented at broadcast outlets around the world. Yet, they've all fallen short of their mission, because Bill's programming techniques were directly Bill's. It's like a fantastic recipe, that remains a secret, due to certain elements kept tucked away. Not exposed for anyone's misuse, if they tried duplicating the recipe. And, we may never have that recipe again, as the song goes.
I am an optimist. Bill developed a format that was designed for maximum listening time. We were about to offer this format, to an outlet who understood the concept and viability this format has. But, Bill was diagnosed with the Cancer that put everything on hold. It had taken so many of his friends and now, it came for him.
My name is Carole. Bill and I found the last decade of our lives together, happy and productive. Along with former friends and associates, Bill's last project will be available. It means total autonomy in programming, just exactly the way it would have been, if Bill was physically running things. It's the only way this will happen. It will also give credibility to any outlet involved with the delivery of a world class music format. Bill Drake revolutionized a sound in the 1960's that still reverberates today and the Top40TimeClock, his last project, will break new ground, going forward. People will not only want to "listen" again, but they won't want to turn it off.
